Recovering from a C‑section is surgery recovery and new‑baby chaos at the same time. In this video I share 10 practical, evidence‑based tips to protect your wound, manage pain, move safely, and support breastfeeding so you can heal well and spot problems early.
If you’ve had a C‑section and are worried about your recovery, scar, or what is and isn’t safe at your stage, you can use my email advice service to get tailored guidance based on your symptoms and timeline. This is not a substitute for urgent in‑person assessment; always contact your maternity team, GP, or emergency services if you’re acutely unwell or concerned.
In this video, we’re going to be teaching you 10 tips on how to recover from a C-section faster (by a doctor, of course!).
Worried about your C-Section scar healing? Once your stitches are out and the wound is closed, keeping the scar hydrated and protected is key to reducing redness and itching. I often suggest medical-grade silicone sheets as they create a protective barrier against clothes rubbing and can help flatten the scar over time
