Does Life Without Stress Equal Happiness?

November 29, 2019

Hello there! So, many clients agree with me that happiness is really in our hands – and someone recently asked me:

Lady with long black hair trying to walk away from someone restraining her arm.

“How can we achieve that state of happiness; or control it for ourselves?”

Now, this is something that philosophers (and more exceptional thinkers than I) have applied themselves to for years.

Happiness is relative, isn’t it; after all – what makes me happy may not be your particular cup of tea.

But we can agree on some everyday things:

  • A good job
  • a decent livelihood,
  • supportive family; are examples.

But for most of us – freedom from stress can equate to cultivating happiness.

It’s stress or conflict that takes the happiness out of a situation and leads to the feeling of dissatisfaction.

But how can you avoid stress?   In brief – you cannot.

Even as babies, we are exposed to situations that are not conducive to our ‘happiness’ and which we must ‘overcome’ – hunger or cold, for example.

As adults, of course, stress has so much more weight; pressure from exams, work, from relationships expecting us to go one way or the other.

But there are ways to overcome stress.

  • Recognise when you are stressed.
  • That’s where to start, and then how to DEstress.

Once we can get both done, we unlock the secret to our happiness.

But, I’d like to know how do YOU DEstress?

Let me know in the comments below.

Also – I’m very excited to tell you of a new segment in our portfolio – Natural Therapies!   Expect health stories on Natural medicine and how to be safe with natural health practice; coming from us in the next months – starting with this article here.

Hopefully, you find it useful – let me know, too. Until next time, I wish you a healthy and happy week!
