Our Digital Impact And Awards

AskAwayHealth in Numbers:

Smiling lady of African heritage in red top and bright red glasses identified as Dr Sylvia, Founder Askawayhealth

Digital Women’s Health Education from a UK GP

AskAwayHealth is a digital women’s health hub led by Dr Sylvia Kama‑Kieghe (FRCGP FRSM FRSPH), simplifying complex topics so women can make confident decisions before they’re in crisis.

From vulval pain and fibroids to menopause and C‑section recovery, we turn anxious late‑night searches into clear, calm guidance.

By the Numbers: Our Digital Women’s Health Reach

A snapshot of how women around the world use AskAwayHealth for clear, evidence‑based guidance.

8.8M+

45+ years

Across AskAwayHealth, our women’s health explainer videos have been watched over 8.8M times, with a community of more than 92K subscribers and over 830 videos and Night Clinic sleep stories published to date.

Viewers have spent the equivalent of more than 45 years of combined watch time with our content, and around 80% of our audience is female, with women aged 25–44 as the core group. We now see significant, repeat viewership from over 10 countries, including the US, UK, India, Nigeria, South Africa, Canada and more.

Tackling Women’s Health Inequalities

AskAwayHealth exists to speak directly to women whose experiences are too often overlooked – especially Black women and women from African and Asian backgrounds.

Alongside our digital education, Dr Sylvia has contributed expert evidence to a UK fibroids enquiry presented in Parliament, highlighting the disproportionate impact of fibroids on Black women and the gaps in care that leave many feeling dismissed or unsafe.

Recognition & Advocacy

Our goal: to make clinically accurate women’s health information as easy to access on YouTube as entertainment content – because late-night health anxiety doesn’t respect postcode, passport or bank balance.
