Chest Pain in Adults
If someone, especially an adult suddenly grabs their chest complaining of pain; you must assume it’s from a heart attack.

A heart attack means the blood supply to a part of the heart is blocked and if not relieved can lead to irreversible damage if the heart.
It can happen to both young and old people.
Other symptoms may include:
- Anxiety with sweating
- The chest pain can travel towards the jaw or the back.
- Feeling short of breath
Next Steps:
Call an ambulance immediately
Stay with the person while you wait for emergency response.
Remove restrictive clothing and be reassuring.
If someone with chest pain stops breathing or has no pulse, you must start CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Rescusitation).
